KAT Communications launch KATpay, a truly secure way to process card payments over the telephone.
KAT Communications Ltd today (28th June 2018) announce the launch of their new KATpay solution designed at creating a secure environment for both businesses (merchants) and customers who sell and buy in a cardholder not present (CNP) situation.
KATpay has been launched in conjunction with their platform provider after hearing countless horror stories from customers who were suffering heavily from fraud related chargebacks and lost stock.
Anthony Temperton of KAT says “as a leading provider of hosted phone systems combined with our relationships we have developed with our customers we were horrified to see the amount of fraud related chargebacks on mail order and telephone sales for our customers. It was even more alarming the lack of solutions available for businesses to protect themselves against fraudulent transactions.”
The KATpay solution provides a secure way to process telephone payments by enabling businesses to verify the identity of its customers over the telephone, thus securing the channel and eliminating the risk of fraud related chargebacks. It also removes all card data from the businesses (merchants) environment thereby complying with the complex rules around PCS DSS.
Anthony Temperton adds “the great thing about this solution is not only is it a pay as you go solution with no long-term contracts, but it will work with your existing phone system without any expensive add ons.”
Jason Mace, Chairman of platform partner Gala Technology says “We are delighted to be partnering with KAT Communications to offer secure and compliant payment options to their customers. KAT have an excellent reputation within the region, so for two exciting Yorkshire companies to join forces in the fight against rising card fraud made perfect sense.”
